grills???

ive got a 5 slat grill for my cabrio and ive just bought a set of smoked inner and outer lights  for it the problem ive got is that the small spots are to ever so slightl to small and the brakets arent quite long enough to push the light flush with the front of the grill???

so i rang the guy back as i thought this may be a mk2 grill but he assured me that the mk1 and2 inner lights are exactly the same size???

the grill is a 5 slat grill any ideas???

It sounds like you have the later clipper grille that has slightly different/larger inner lights. I expect the lights are probably for the older type Mk1 grille fitted to earlier cabs and all the hatchbacks.
If you have ETKA then take a look and you'll see what I mean.

are the mk2 lights bigger though????

I'm not sure about Mk2 lights. I know the spots have a different part number to any Mk1 spots.
