Glass etchings....

Hi,

Been offered a set of green tint glass for nk1. Price is good and will be useful as spare. Problem is all panels have registration etchings on them.

Is it possible to remove these without causing too much damage to glass or tint??

I had this done back in 1987 on a ford the privous owner had etched the registration on to the windows and I had replaced the registration with a private one. at the time if I remember right it cost ?35 to have the etching polished out, but you could still see were it had been.
