fitting hood

hi ya peeps can anyone give me some advise on fitting a new hood and replacing the glass.i am on bit of a budget and cant afford to have it fitted so any advice would be gratefull :D

Me and Foxy followed this guide today and guess what it was what it was wicked took all day but we did it!!!!!!!  8)  :D
Big shout out to foxy and if anyone in the north west wants one doing let him know lol

if you are trying this you will need everything on the tool list,
dnt thinkm you can do without cos you cant,

last thing you want is to get stuck with no roof on!
it takes at least 6 hours so start early in the day as fitting in the dark is hard,

Any ideas where i can get glue from, would a glue from a d.i.y store be ok or do i need a special glue for it?

10 mm ratchet spanner essential I believe  as is a damn good staple gun electric or air powered would be easier than the hand powered one we used if using a hand one you need a knocking block

Ideally you need a friend to assist and hold things otherwise double your time

also plenty of sustainance food and drink

finally plenty of patience and take your time reading and understanding the instructions.

My roof came without cables I had to buy them seperately. Might be worth pricing them up seperately or speaking to chequers where I bought my cables from to see what they do.

ok i'll have to bribe my bro into helping me out wit a few cans (for after else it all go bear shaped!!!!!!!!!) i got an air staple gun and will be purhasing from cardhoods warehouse just going for black vinyl nothing fancy just bit worried bout fitting glass  :pray: hope i dont mess it up!

Getting the glass out is far more stressful as it is the first job.
When you are putting it back in you know you are at the end, you can already see your new roof on the car and you are on such a high that there is very little stress at this point
