fitting a series 1 dashboard

hi, recently bought a complete series 1 dash to fit in my series 2 mk1 its complete with loom, air pipes and some brackets.
i know i need to change the speedo cable, is there anything else i need to do before i fit it?

What year is the dash and what is is your car?

not sure what year it came out of, it was from a gti its got the twin round clocks.
