door seals plz help

hi…does any body know how the door seal fit 2 car on a 3 door tintop gti, i know there bonded in but im unsure where they start n finish iv got old 1's but just carnt get my head around how they go on…also they seem a bit short …could some plz shed some light on subject, pics would b really apprecaited :mrgreen:
