Door hinge pins
Would it be possible to remove the hinge pins from an old 3 door hatch passenger door and install them on the drivers door of my cabriolet to get rid of that awful dropped door feeling?

That may be the hard way of doing it. You could always try these methods? :

Yes, I've read all those - and from my days in the motor trade, am aware that there is a difference between a bodge, an adjustment and sorting a problem once and for all. It just seems to me that with a vast supply of undropped passenger doors out there, maybe I'lll be the one who takes th epics and writes the piece on how to do this swap - after all, door adjustment is set for unworn pins, so it would seem better to have unworn pins to get that beautiful VW door shutting action, rather than just make an improvement over a badly dropped door.
I'm off down the scrappy to take a couple of rear latches off a mk2 to put on mine now!

Personal preference which route you prefer to go down. Be good to see the process with pics if you do it!
