Chaise Ingraved Numbers?

hi to all, my car is under restoration, and while this is happening i was woundering where the chasie (vin plate) numbers are located. I'v lost the slam panel 1.

Theres 1 near the water tray.

And i know theres one inside under the seat area

Any help on this?  :roll:

The VIN is stamped into the scuttle panel underneath the plastic water cover. That is the ony location except for the VIN plate.

No, there is nothing stamped on the inside. Series 2s have a sticker in the boot though with VIN and option codes so you could check if yours is still present.

U lost the whole slam panel! 8O  How did it just vanish?! :dontknow:

I'm not sure, never looked but I seem to remember Crazyquiff posting about there being one on or near the driver's seat rails?  :dontknow: Can't quite remember, would have been along time ago on the old forum I expect.

thats wht i always thought also. I'll be paying a trip to my car in this week and see what happens, dam cant work in this cold.
