bonnet - HELP!!!

bought a replacment  bonnet for my cabrio…just replaced it and shut it.  Now I cant open it.  Poking through grill I can just about push bits back to no avail. It wont unlock.

  Any1 with any ideas?

 I have pulled and pulled on the interal bonnet release thing, but the bonnet WONT OPEN!  The release thing is loose, has come off.  Cant work it get it back on.    And I was doing so well!!!  Any ideas or any1 with a haynes manual?

 Its not the the type of bonnet (like my old one) where u push back the underbonnet relase thing.  I cant even get bonnet "released" so it dosent pop up!! IM soo depressed!   The bonnet is stuck (permanently?) locked in.  HEEELP!!!
