Accelerator pedal
Hi,
Just noticed while doing something else on my car that at the top of my accelerator pedal where the cable connects it's just hooked through a quite large hole. I say large because it's aloot bigger in comparison to the cable hook which makes me think there should be something like a rubber bung or something that sits in the large hole and then the hook goes through that. Just been on ebay and this is the type of end I have http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-GOLF-MK1-ACCELERATOR-THROTTLE-CABLE-171721555T-NEW-GENUINE-VW-PART-/380448960468?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5894866fd4 but couldn't find a part related to my query and also looking through my haynes can't find a result. I can't really see that this is normal as its not really held in (although has not given me probs in the past).
Any help would be great, i'll try and get a pic if needed but angle and location may prove dificult.
Cheers
Dan

No worried dude.
You might be able to pick one up a bit cheaper from GSF or somewhere like that….that eBay seller can be a little over priced sometimes, I just posted that link so you can see what it is rather than me trying to explain it (that'd only turn into a complete farce!)
