wont start

Sorry, if this isnt the correct place to post this,but im after a quick answer as car wont start and late for work. Iv turned the key. the starter turned but didnt fire up. Iv tried a jump from another car but still not starting.

Any ideas.

Fuel Relay?  Can you hear it buzzing?

When i turn the key, i can here the buz, which i thought was the fuel pump. The starter motor then starts to turn. Then it gets slower, and my alarm kicks in, which im not sure if that then imobilizes the car.

You are right it was the battery. Cost ?55 for a new one from halfords.

Starts first time now. (Touch wood)
