Starter motor wiring help

Im abit confused, Ive have the wire from the positive of the battery and the thick wire from the alternator, do they both go on the upper bolt in the picture?

Also is the spade connector, a switched live from the ignition?

Yes

No (its +12V only when the ignition switch it in the 'start' position).

sorted it  


with the red with black trace wire on the spade connector, it was hiding behind the gearbox
