Stainless or zinc plated nuts and bolts

Does anyone know of any where that sell a stainless or zinc plated nut and bolt kit for mk1 Golf 1800 GTI, doing engine detailing

This is basically what im looking for also.Just stripped down the engine,will be replacing,painting and uprating everything and want to replace all the nuts and bolts.Im sure VW will probably still do all the bolts but youll need to get all the part no's.Its either that or find out the size and strength of each bolt and nut and find a place to get you a batch,few places on Ebay that look like they may be able to do this.Theres a bolt listing on Dubforce but its for the G60 so i imagine only half of them will be of any use to you,worth a look though.

I was thinking about trying a zincing kit from ebay, but im never very successfull with this sort of thing, either that or getting all the bits and send off to a company to do them, there is a place called RS chrome that does Zincing

Stainless fixings for non structural only. Anything that is safety related and structural needs hi tensile steel bolts as stainless is more brittle and fractures easily
