Idle speed screw - located on back of throttle body, (awkward to get to by the bulkhead). I think its a 7mm nut, I bought a 3/8" socket with a knurled base and I can use this to turn it by hand. If its not this, then start looking elsewhere, for example on these models there's an idle boost valve, and it could also be a vacuum leak, some of the pipework is behind the inlet manifold and awkward to inspect. Or could be AAV stuck open.

AAV is behind the inlet manifold. Idle boost valve is bolted to the suspension turret, if fitted. I think you've missed a couple of vac pipes to check, since some are connected to the AAV and idle boost valve.

When you say "took it off", did you then block both ends of it (there's 2 pipes to the idle boost valve, if you remove one and the valve is open then you're going to have another pipe open).
