Possible Fuel problem.
Hi Everyone,i hope you can shed some light on this.i have a k reg sportline that i bought a few weeks ago that had been sat up for nearly two years.i have recent changed plugs, dizzy and rota arm.
since i purchased the car there has been a very noticible flat spot when ever i tried to accelerate, and the fuel sender is permenatly making a whining noise.
i decided to clean out the throttle body as i had read that this could be causing the flat spot.
reassambled and fired her up again. It was running very rough and then stopped ticking over altogether.
the fuel sender is still permenantly on,sparks are fine on all plugs.
should i check the fuel lines, filter, motor or injectors first.or do you think it could be something else?
thanks
jamie

What's your fuel filler neck like? Could be rust build up in the
Fuel lines/pump. If you search on here you'll find info about!

i have now got fuel through the engine,it ticks over VERY KNOCKY if i keep the ignition turned,so fuel is getting in there,im now thinking could it be something to do with the air intake, should i have re adjusted something when i cleaned the throttle assembly?
