according to ETKA its same for mk1 and mk2 engines solid or hydro
its possible the hydro pump replaced solid lifter but i cant see any evidence of this in ETKA?

the 2.0 8v pump is beefier than the 1.8, pretty sure it will just bolt right on. worst case you'll have to change the drive pole thingy. mk3 1.8 ones are the same if thats any help

Cool I have both on order as the mk3 was cheap anyway.
Think the non hydro pump was shorter originally as some info on the net suggests it had shorter
"3: Oil delivery: Oil volume is important! If you want to race, you'll need a high volume oil pump! If your bearings are not receiving a constant flow of oil, they will bottom out and decrease the life of your love. All hydraulic engines from 85-on have higher volume pumps. Why spend aload of money on a pronounced "high-volume-performance" pump when all you need to do to your solid lifter engine is install a pump from a hydraulic engine? "
