OIL PRESSURE PROBLEM
The oil pressure warning light and buzzer comes on when the revs get to 2000rpm. It didnt happen before I changed the dash and a few switches!!!!!!!!!!!
On tickover and up to 2000 its not a problem……any idea's.
I might fit an oil pressure gauge to see exactly what happens. Has anyone got one for sale for a GTI dash? and are they easy to fit?

Braided wire from the rocker cover to coil bolt.
Pin 2 brown is the earth.
You can shim the Mylar connector for better contact by putting a strip of electrical tape under the flap of the copper connectors, make sure they are clean too.
Faulty switch as pointed out, but get a VW OEM one as aftermarkets don't always work well.

check the large pressure switch in the oil filter housing, it should be white and rated 1.8bar. dont go by colour alone especially if its cheap pattern part. wire colour is black/blue, and check that too

I would bet on the Mylar connector , as you say all you have done is change the Dash. Give it a wiggle while you are revving engine it may be a bad connector. My lad had the same problem when he put his dash in his caddy. Just a poor connection. Elecy tape behind the contacts is a good idea also
