OIL ON PLUGS

Checked spark plugs yesterday evening to find one plug covered in oil…anyne know where the leak is coming from?

rings matie - run a compression test and see what you get - shouldn't get more that a 10% delta on any one cylinder.  No 3 will run the hottest so look at this one the most carefully.

i head the engine re-conditioned january - which is still under warranty so should i call them up?

yep

get them to do the compression test - then you'll know.  If oil is getting past the rings it will show on the compression gauge

just check the rocker cover isnt leaking if it is the oil may be sitting around the plug lead thus when removing plug it will cover the plug in oil

does it run ok smoke ???

yeah - good point matie - you may be polluting the plug with oil on extraction - try that - good idea
