hi folks,
it has been about 2 weeks since i last started her !!

i put all the brakes bake on and she started fine, at the weekend i attached the new handbrake cable and put her back on her wheels and got nothing.

i haven't tried to manually crank the car and as to other checks i have done the best i can with a haynes manual.

i charged the battery at the wekend so i don't think it is flat but i am going to try to jump start her tonight and see if that works.

i have checked the dizzy and cleaned it up a little.

any other ideas would be much appreciated  :dontknow:

cheers

Its probably a stuck starter motor solenoid. Its easy enough to check if this is the case:

1. Check the battery voltage, you want 12.8V or more for a healthy battery
2. Check that you get voltage at the terminal on the starter motor solenoid, when you turn the key to start the car.

Hitting it with a hammer normally solves it temporarily. Obviously, refurb/replacement is the long term fix.

just a quick one to say "She is Alive"
