mk4 engine in my cabrio

hey guys, looking for a mk4 20V 1.8T engine to put in my mk1 cabrio. any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. also, i might get some work done to my existing stock engine, any fun ideas?

buy an entire scrapped golf 4 gti car so you have everything because you'll need a lot of parts to get the lot working … ( drive by wire pedal for instance if you buy a late model, clocks, and so on etc etc etc)  

best thing to do get a KR 16v or a g60 engine with loom and go for a turbo conversion (the g60 is the nicer option should you decide to go turbo )

Help/suggestions - have you read the FAQ and the many other posts on this engine conversion? Its a popular choice these days, but a bit more expensive than 16V or even G60. I don't know parts availability in Australia though, which would limit your choices - eg which VWs with 1.8T were sold there?
