Injector / hose differences?

My GTi Rivage (DX engine code) currently has the fine thread hoses and matching injectors with the top/hat shroud. Like so:
I have a spare set of the coarse thread hoses and injectors without the shroud. Like this:
The spare set is in better condition so I'd like to fit these for what its worth (there isn't anything wrong with what I have - just, might as well)- Can I fit these too my engine or are they not compatible?

From what I can remember they won't fit because of the plastic valve seating in the head. ….Brown plastic, or black plastic, but I think you can if you change these to suit . ..

Word of warning….
I removed the brown plastic insert as 1 was missing a little bit and the broke into little bits when I removed them but I had the head on the bench so I could pick up the pieces.
This is what I was left with.

you can swap the old style in no problem, just cap off the vacuum pipe to the rear of the cylinder head otherwise you end up with a vacuum leak past the air shrouded injector system

So swap to the old style injectors whilst still using the new style inserts?
What does the vacuum system on the back of the head actually do?

yes you dont need to swap the injectors, so long as you cap off the pipe i mention.
the air shrouded injector vacuum system is there to help atomise the fuel a bit better to aid mpg, supposedly the difference is noticeable on the 8v head but I've had both with and without on my 16v and I noticed no difference whatsoever

As an update, I decided to leave the injectors as they are - I didn't want to mess around with the originality and air shroud for no real reason. What I have is absolutely fine!
