Help
Can any one help my mk1 golf gti cab is a bitch to start and when it does it runs really rough and sum how there is petrol getting into the oil just drained 7 litres out of it and it stinks of petrol can any 1 please help me

probably running very rich or 5th injector stuck open. unplug it and see how it is

Thanks for reply this might sound dum but which 1 is the 5 th injector and do I undo it and try starting the car?

its the blue plug on the side of the inlet manifold, with the black and green/white wire

I had similar problems and advice from rubjonny and other fine fellows gave excellent advice. I have put the link my problem / resolution below, it's is fairly short and might help. I cannot recommend enough the injector test in the technical section on the left hand margin. If your injectors are leaking you are effectively flooding the engine with fuel when its not running!
The test is excellent as you can see the results infront of you to help diagnodse the problem. Its cheap to do and straight forward.
