Gas flowed manifolds!!
I am rebuilding a mk 1 with a mk2 1.816V engine, i currently have the engine and gear box in bits. I have cleaned up the inlet manifolds but they are coked up inside, whats the best way of cleaning these and is it worth getting them gas flowed??
I also have a 4 into 1 manifold which looks a mess inside is it worth getting this flowed aswell??
If so where??
Thanx

It all helps to gain small amounts of bhp to have them flowed, but if you are going to get it done Have them matched to the head aswell.
I would really only have it done if the head was being done at the same time.
The going rate for the inlet manifold is around 60 quid. The exhaust maifold should be ok as it is. it is probably just showing it's age…
Most tuning people who advertise in the monthly vw mags will only be too pleased to have your money away for the privelige !
