engine codes ev/dx

hi all
Is the ev engine code the same as the dx, i've got a 1.9 ev engine block and i want to use the pistons on the dx block to keep the original engine with the car.
i know i will have to bore the dx block for the pistons to fit but is everything else the same internally.

i used a ev block as a direct replacement for my dx. it all mounted up and worked perfectly.
