Engine bay stuff

Having got the bodywork somewhere near ok I looked around DubFreeze the other day and got to thinking about sorting out my pipework in the bay. At present it goes in all directions and doesnt follow the original route as per Walts photos and the books.

Can anyone tell me if it will cause problems if I simply undo the flexi hoses to the warm up reg and re-route them along with some others? Can I still get the plastic retaining clips for the pipes.

There was a bronze pick up that had some curly expandable covers for wires to tidy them up… where can I get those from?

Also I have seen that the radiator cover sometimes comes in 3 pieces (as advertised on ebay). I can see the top piece, where do the others go?

You can get the curly wire tidy stuff from woolworths, although it's probably over priced.

Maplin - www.maplin.co.uk

Do a range of wire/pipe tidying clips and wraps.

See;

For coloured cable ties, spiral cable wrap etc etc etc (apologies for long link)

I reckon you'll be fine to re-route the various vacuum hoses. to my knowledge none of them are of a critical length. You just need to make sure that you use pipes that wont collapse under vacuum.

Hope this helps
