driving with at 3 to 4000rpm,oil lamp goes on

Hello, could somebody help me with this problem,when i drive on the hiway at 3000-4000rmp goes the oil lamp and the biip sound that indicate no oil pressure on,if i turn off the ingnition and on again its goes away......but it is oil and the oil pressure is 2bar in 950rpm....so the qiestion is wich pressure part do i need to change?? it is 3 oil pressure parts on my GTI,its a DX engine....

This sounds like the "dynamic oil warning system" has gone bad. Comon problem with Volkswagens, at least MK1 and MK2. The high pressure switch is located on the oil filter mount, but chances are that the curcuit board in the gauge cluster (clocks I think you call them) has gone bad. If you have a Bently repair manual, maybe others have this too, it describes how to test this system and pin-point the problem. The curcuit board is expensive and maybe no longer produced too. If it turns out to be bad then switching to an electric or mechanical oil gauge will be the best way to go.

If you're unsure the single pin senders are available from VW for about ?15 each or ?5 ish from GSF.
