Does 1.8 digifant bottom end mate to a 1.6gti head etc?

Hi all
I am in this predicament due to my last thread!!!
Bit of a nightmare.
Basically my bottom end is rattling like nobodys business. My mate has a digifant engine, complete from when he stuck a 1.8t in his 1990 mk2.
Can i use the digifant 1.8 bottom end ith my 1.6 gti head? I know the digifant head means a lot of wiring chew.
Has anyone done this before?

No, afraid not mate. Different compression ratio. It would fit but wouldnt run  :?

Why not put the whole digi engine in and run it off your current injection system ?  I think it's just different injector seals that are needed for the head (I think - sure someone here must have done it ?????????)

hi i'm affraid it won't fit let alone run right, as the main oil drain holes are in a different position.
