cold start valve?

i have been reading stuff on here but dont know loads about engines. it takes ages to start in the morning. then the proformance is shit for a bit then goes back to normal. i took it in for a service yesterday and the situation is ten times worse. it drinks fuel. what do i do about this. what part do i need ? thanks for any help

Check for fuel leaks. Check CO emissions and adjust as necessary.
