Cars with 9a engines??

Hi all

Can anyone point me to a list of cars and years that have the 9a engine in? I would love to 16v my mk1, but don't really want the taller ABF engine.

if its k-jet, then its 9a. audi version of 9a is 6a. obv make sure its still in the original car, obv mk2 with 2.0 16v on k-jet coudl be abf or 9a or 6a

if you are looking at the block, look round the back for 2.0 casting and round the front look for a crank sensor. if it has one, its abf. if not, its 9a/6a.

crank sensor is right down bottom of block behind front mount/filter housing, next to gearbox/sump.

best to check for crank sensor even if you find passat/corrado/old audi, because engine could have been changed!
