black death

hi peeps i think my gti has the old black death, i know its old but inside the oil filler is black bits in there, slight tar'ing also under acelaration, it has a tapping,thing that may be just the tappits but its bloody anoying, gonna do a oil change tomorrow, anyone feel a flush will help dislodge the sluge.???? :dontknow:

Any ideas when it was changed previously?

yeah early summer. but its always had rubbish in there, smokes big time on start up to big cloud. only just started doing that though

Blocked oil breather?

I'd do an oil flush, but then I've always done flushes from the outset!

i no its a different car but thought id try and help…. my mate has a scirocco and he was having the same kind of problem, he put it in the garage and came back that the valves were bent, this resulted in a head rebuild with new valves, injectors, pistons and followers. i wouldnt dive in to this until you are sure as it is very costly but just an idea
