Aux Air Valve.... Is this it??
I've read lots of posts about the aux air valve causing cold idle problems.
When started from cold my engine really wants to stall. Idles fine once warm. Have tried squezing the pipe from the air box to the thottlebody so see if the revs drop, but not 100% sure if i am sqeezing the right pipe and whether i know were the aux air valve is….
If it, then i think it is broken as the revs do not drop when the pipe is sqeezed.
Thanks
Liam

I can get a pic of it if you need it?
the pipe that goes to the airbox from the rocker (top one from that 'T' peice you've circled) is the breather pipe

I've got the same cold idle problem so probably should go check mine before it gets dark but had enough of working on it for today

Has a pipe feeding it from the big air pipe before the throttle and an electical connection? Right behind the inlet manifold.
I can't be bothered to stand out in the cold any longer either, so its gonna have to wait til next weekend now!

Will let you know how i get on next weekend.
Might invest in a volt meter too? So i can check a few other things too!

I've had a look on GSF's website but can't find the aux. air valve listed (probably under a different name as usual!)

Checked my aux air valve today….
Seems to work fine….
Engine cuts out when the pipe is blocked off.
So that makes me wonder what else could be wrong. :dontknow:
Any ideas on what could be causing a very low idle when cold?
I'm gonna need some new engine mounts soon otherwise!
It idles fine once the engine is warm.
