16v lump

Ive got a valves in the mk1, and would like to know which engine code it is, how do I find out?

it should be on a flat machined area just above the oil filter/breather housings between pistons 3 and 4.

if its too corroded then to start with is it a 1.8 or 2.0, look on the back it'll be cast into the block cant miss it. next check for a crank sensor, its right down the bottom of the block next to the gearbox
