I'd checked everything:
Distributor
Aux Air Valve
Cold Start Valve
Pressure (Warm up) Regulator
Fuel Pump Relay (this shares 12V with pressure regulator)
…the list goes on, but finally solved the issue and it was the simplest of all. The o ring on the idle screw was not keeping the vacuum presssure.
Hope this helps others

'worn out gasket on your idle air adjustment screw which is on the back of the throttle body. If you thread the screw out and it looks flat like the nearest one in the image then you have a vacuum leak and it needs to be replaced'

what wad the idle sitting at before solved problem?

kinda sits near all way in, bar a few turns, but best way to set this is alongside timing and c/o- if you can turn it by hand...seals way gone.

just std lil o ring bud - any motors spares gaf will have em

dont suppose anyone has a spare screw valve do they as mine isnt even there ? :(.  i have plenty of o'rings, just need the screw..
