The original Solex or Pieberg is the best - so long as its adjusted and working properly - because it has auto choke and in relative terms, is quite sophisticated.

Many people prefer the (single) Weber conversion, because its a relatively simple carb and also quite easily available, eg you can buy a 'kit' of a new carb and adapter, etc etc.

Next would be the multitude of twin carbs - adding the complication and expense of 2 carbs for a 75bhp engine is a bit daft but some people like the technical challenge of it. You have twice the adjustment capability, but half of them are needed to get the carbs sync'd together.

Then worst would be bike carbs. You're into fabricating or bodging your own manifold, and an even simpler carb that will have flat spots or cold running/warm up issues unless you thoroughly understand what's going on or pay a specialist to sort it all out for you.

Whatever you do, don't make the mistake of thinking that simply swapping a carb will magically give a useful jump in power - at least, without any downsides too.
