Core plug

I think I have a core plug that needs replacing due to a water leak. It is the one on the rear left side of the block.

Can this be changed OK with the engine in the car, is there room? Have not had chance to get under properly to look.

Also, does anyone have any tips for replacing these?

(I know mines a clipper carb engine but posting here so hopefully can get an answer!)

If you have access to a lift , yes , but its tight . Might be worth getting a price from your friendly local garage ? It's a nightmare to do laying under the car .
