coolant leaking everywhere

My car has been overheating so I tried to replace the thermostat. I tried filling the system without it but water just flows out all over the place. So I want to remove pump unit  but I cannot remove the water pump.

My manual says remove 4 bolts and it should come off. There's somerthing else holding mine on that I cannot see.
Any ideas???Hoses all connected back up tight.

It's easier to work on the pump/thermostat off the car and then I can replace seals etc. Rather than work under the car.

The only thing I can think, is that you either forgot to replace the thermostat seal, its not seated correctly, or you somehow cracked the casing.

The water pump is probably stuck on to the block through corrosion. Very carefully lever and wiggle/twist it off. Once again, there's a seal, this could also be keeping it stuck on.

I found a small screw holding the pump on to the timing belt case/suround. It was a little fcuker to get off but OK now.

Because I tried to replace thermostat from under the car I never got a good seal on its housing. Got it now. No leeks so far. Just tested in sink. Putting it all back togther tomorrow.
I'm in Yoker mate.
