that's the one mate, just what you need to keep it as the factory intended.

but there is a school of thought that its better to blank off the hole on the airbox and direct the vapours into a catch-can (or a pop bottle for a low budget quick fix)

HTH!

The breather fits the airbox on the 'clean side' of the filter, so it doesn't block the filter at all.

The reasoning behind it is this - Engines run on air and petrol, and there is no air and no petrol in the oil vapour that goes through the breather..by directing it away from the air filter housing you increase the volume of air/fuel mixture going into the cylinders so giving oyu slightly more power.

Also, oil vapour reduces the effective octane of your A/F mixture so you're more likely to experience pre ignition/detonation with it connected or the other way of looking at it is you can run more advance more safely with the breather going into a seperate container.

Lastly, have you ever stripped and cleaned a carburettor?? You know all that oily, gunky black sh1te that coats everyt surgface of your carb? Thats come from your oil breather.

I just passed my MOT with a meter of hose running from the 'nipple' on the valve cover where the breather connects to, running to a pop bottle wedged inbetween the chassis leg and inner wing on the offside..
