blocking water way

 hi guys ive got a 1.8 8v carbed engine. I want to fit twin carbs but struggling to find a way to block the water way on the head does anyone have any ideas tthanks

weld it up, or find a piece of metal the right size and epoxy or weld that in its place.  or fabricate an inlet mani with an extra 'bit' that covers the hole? or source a different head? gaffer tape maybe?

 I'm not taking the mickey, they're serious answers - I guess the replies you get when asking how to fill a hole will sound a bit smart-arsey. No doubt someone will pop along and say 'just stick yer finger in there' or something daft… but its only a hole, so just block it up!

fit a GTI head instead, you'll get better performance along with no water hole

block injector holes either by leavign injectors in, remove inserts and drop penny in hole or fit gearbox drain/fill plugs (only fit certain gti heads)  also fit a gti dizzy it'll have better ignition curve than the carby one
