1600 Diesel to 1600 Petrol help needed please

I have just bought a mk 1 its a non runner,
it was originally a 1600 Diesel which has been removed and a 1600 petrol engine from a cabriolet has been fitted. the previous owner then couldnt get it to run so he sold it on.

I now have the fun of getting it running,
a few of my problems that i can see are:

vacuum pipes not connected
various wires not connected

can anybody help me with other problems i will encounter

any other things i will need to get it running

any help will be appreciated

Best man for your answers is BERT, he is diesel king and with your golf originally being a diesel i dont know what setup they have as regards loom etc

 i will wait and see if the king will help me

Bert is indeed the man...i am sure the loom needs to be changed though
