it's not going to be iceing up unless you've been running for a while - the ice is formed as the air being sucked in freezes the petrol, generally when the engine has been running for a while and the vehicle is moving at speed. This used to happen at motorway speedonmy old Spitfire…
Are you giving it time to warm up and then closing the choke, or is it cutting out with the choke still on and the engine cold?
Either way, I would guess it's dirt in the jets or the mixture needing to be set up.

i have the same engine/carb as you and i had a problem with icing so i used the coolant hoses that went to the waterchoke on the old carb and connected them to the base of the weber - this keeps the carb warm and stops it from icing.
its unlikely the carb is dirty or blocked after 100 miles, especially if the filter is clean, but it might be worth chaging the filter anyway, maybe even using two filters instead of one (i do this to help keep my carb clean so i dont have to strip it down so often! lol!)
when all thats done you should be good to go but its worth dhecking your timing and CO and you'll have a car that runs like a dream!
Take it easy ; )
