Mk1 Gti Karmann Cabrio 1983 in White
I have just managed to get my hands on a car I first drove when i was 19 and always wanted (the bad news is i am 46 now).
Its a mk1 Golf Gti Karmann 1.8 Cabrio in White with a white soft top its done 45k with full history and is in fantastic condition, just a few small thing to sort to make it A1, however, I have tryed to get more information on this model and an idea of its true value ? can any one give me more information on this limited edition?
Thanks Stubbsy :dontknow:

One of the few things I need to do is to replace the white soft top there are a few cracks on the first fold but it is 26 years old, I have found a company to replace it for ?295 unless you can recommend any one else?
I will also be having the wheels repainted, I do believe that everything in the car is original, so with that in mind I would hate to make what I thought was an improvement but in reality it could be a big mistake so if you can guide me on what?s a massive no no then feel free to do so.
Cheers Stubbsy

All white cab, nice choice!
Not sure about the snowflakes, I was originally told it should have those, but then that they were later, around 87 I think. Mines 84.
If your handy you should try having a go yourself. Hubby did mine a few years ago now using an excellent guide on here and its never leaked. Bit of care and a bit of patience. He said he would do another one so it cant have been that bad
Heres the link

We run our own hotel so time is a problem at the moment and I seem to be so shot tempered at the moment I think attempting this would be the wrong thing to do.
The digital clock /display on the instrument panel is also not working is it possible to repair these or just replace?
Anyway thanks for the reply and the link I will Post a few pictures over the next few days business starts to slow down after next week so I will hopefully have some time to spend on this fine motor.
Thanks again Stubbsy
