would love to be in a position where i could restore a mk1 first though,  priorities etc…

i would love an old capri.. but at the pod today i fell in love with the charger

currently working on a '69 MG Midget (1275) which i'm porting a head for and throwing in a 286 cam… would go for a scatter cam but ya need to do a shed load of work to the head and block, and the heads made of cast iron!!!

other than that i would love to restore an Austin Healey 3000

I restored my RS1600i, in the mid 90's.

Had it for 14 years…have only recently sold it feb 08 .

ooooh looks lovely, I rebuilt one of my XR3i`s
and started looking for an RS1600i, but there
are not a lot out there, I liked the subtle differences
between the XR & RS`s, splitter,interior,rocker cover
etc..etc.. hope you got a good price for it when
you sold it!

You never know, I might get one eventually

Oooh, nice escort. I was seriously considering getting one (not RS or XR though) then my brother got a VW van and when I came to get a car 6 months later he suggested a golf so I didn't go for it. I still like that shape and do really like them in white.

Oh and as for which other cars would do it for me?

Well 80's Transporter vans are my other cash hole at the moment and if  had enough it would MK3 Capri. I'll probably get stick for it but when I did my paper round I used to go past a mint D reg 2.8i in dark green, possibly Brooklands. They're probably terrible cars but I just like the styling.

Oh and I probaly mess around with pretty much any 80's motor. Just as long as it's nice and angular. 8)

Weird thing is I think your right,its def the square front end, it looks so  8) .I had a few clubmans and then went on to mk1 golfs.
I just prefered the clubman anyway + Mr Bean didnt drive one! (Would have been to aggresive)
