Another newbie Essex

Just bought a 1990 Clipper.

Wanted a black GTI. Made the mistake of taking my 8 year old daughter, the seller opened the roof, went for a spin and that was that.

Not a GTI, not black but paprika red, but still a MK1 so I'm happy.

Now for the Cleaning, polishing, brakes, clutch, seats changes, tracking and balancing, ………………..

Love the car though.

Can't wait to get to some gatherings and pick everyones brains . How do I …….?

Whereabouts are you? I'm only about a minute and half from the terminal, so I'll be on the lookout for you!

I'm in Dunmow but in Stortford very often, you would recognise my car, paprika red, black roof and a rough paint job :-( also the alloys are in a very sad state. Poor car.

I'm on the lookout for some cheap wheels :-)

Hope there is a Stortford meet soon.

The paintjob and wheels may be rough but get some pics up!  Both of my cabbies are off the road at the minute so you are a step up on me!  

Still needs a lot of cosmetic work sorting out, and the Alloys changing or sorted out.

Needs a good buffing with cutting compound and a wax, Seats need a serious clean, needs a good service, wheels need balancing, tracking needs doing, roof needs a scrub, more inside than out (last owner must have smoked like a chimney.Fuel filler pipe is rotten (I assume this is a common problem) Lastly I need to find a cover for the roof when its folded as didn't get one with the car.

Then I will be happy.

car looks well correct me if im wrong but are the wheels from a renault 19 16v.looks well all the same  

I have no idea what the wheels are (but I don't like them).

Looking for a set of BBS 'I think they are called' the ones that look like little spokes, that are tons of Golfs.

My son thinks he saw you on the 120 at the weekend, he drives a red S1 tintop.  8)

I was on the 120 this weekend so It could have been me.
