Has he got more than 1/4 tank of fuel?

He said he doesn't go below 1/4 at any point but yes it totally loses power going up hills or if he puts his foot down a bit bud. Any ideas? Thought Bert might know as he's a mechanic and told him to pm him. He seems a nice guy so hope he doesn't mind. Adma can't use it and it's his daily… hope Bert can suggest something :dontknow:
mk1 for 1 and all for mk1… made me laugh Ian!!!

Crap in tank, dodgy fuel pump? Hard to say without seeing the car and feeling the problem.

Would guess at fuel starvation.

Adam mentioned he's used a lot of fuel since it started happening. It's backfiring too… I'm at a loss and no mechanic he's went to understands the older more mature cars :dontknow: ….
….we're leaving in 30 minutes … love seeing your motors but don't half annoy me knowing mines off the road .. good motivator though I suppose!!

I think Phil came over to see if you and your fella were ok and were part of the meet. As everyone says…. you don't have to be in a mk1 to come along
Really do hope you can make the next one… you and the other mk1's … a lot of people wanted your fella's wheels by the way… they look nice sitting under that mk2!!

What can i say but thanks everyone for making the effort with some bad weather forcasted. I like Marks (Funk-star) idea of an alternative meet at IKEA as there is a multistorey carpark there.
Supprise visit from 36CF and Sam, always good to see you, and Tian braved the roundabouts.

Yea i suggested the ikea idea to simon incase it got really wet but hopefully it was a one off and the nxt few month meets/shows will be better weather
I will get the mk1 boys from my local forum dwn next time.
By all means come to our milton keynes meet, its for all dubbers/vaggers etc. (dnt mean to advertise its just usually a good turn out.. www.keyneondubs.tk)
i agree, they are lovely wheels, bit scruffy tho. need a gooooood polishing up!
