MPG light/needle

HURRAY!!!!!  finally got my shift light working atreat BUT sometimes when I go in to 5th it reads the MPG like it should but some times it tries to tell me to shift to 6th ???? where would this problem lie?

you need to go and get a 6 speed box :mrgreen:

Gear linkage may need adjusting , as you no it works when you put the car in fifth gear and is controlled by a switch on the gearbox . Try gently pushing the gear lever while driving in fifth and see if it works if it does 'gear linkage needs a tweek'
