Clicky noise from fan area when I hit 60ish then well windy

Hi all

When I'm pootling along about 40 (not that often admittedly), all is nice an quiet. Then when I get to about 55-60, there's quite a loud 'click' from the area around the fan/heater controls (centre consol) and it sounds like it's blowing a gale or the heater is on full, which it's not.

Any suggestions as to what this might be?

Perhaps you're just going too fast?!!

Does it matter what position the ventilation switches are on?

Cheers

Cold air flap on the heater , sounds like its banging open when air flow gets going .

right pain to get too 8O  ……..You need to check the 2 top heater controls , are they operating the flaps via those small cables correctly ?

That sounds about right Chudd.

Heater controls aren't working properly, it's a mess in there. Haven't been able to get any cold air in to it since I've had it, which is fine for winter…

Hot/cold control does move the cable correctly and I've followed that through to the valve thingy on top of the engine, which moves but doesn't change temp inside. Other controls don't move at all. Think this must be all connected then, have to have a think about my whole 'climate control' system!

Oh, and thanks as well Andy. I'll stick to 50 mph from now on…
