indicator flashhing fast and like a x-mas tree

i know its the time of year for it but i cant be doing with xmas tree lights for indicators on my mk1 for my safety..  

all 4 indicators flash fast but they all work

when normal lights are on, the drivers rear indicator light is very faint and sort of flashes with the rear light, all others just flash fast like when a bulbs gone.

im thinking wrap the car in some tinsle and bulbs for the mot, may get away with it that way, haha :dontknow:

sounds like earth to me anyway but i cant find it as the ones in the boot are all connected

would a duff relay cause this? or would it not click if that was the source of the prob?

had this problem on me gx.. turned out it was a relay. gsf do them for about 6 quid.

..at least i had the fast flashing thing. sounds like a dodgy earth now i read the last bit of your first post..  :?

ive had the same problem in the past and it was a bulb that had gone!! changed the bulb and it fixed the problem!

just cleaned up all the connections and all is good! :mrgreen:
