It`ll  be an early start i reckon as i`ll be there for 9.30am. Hasn`t no-one offered you a lift yet Chrissi? If your near(ish) me i don`t mind picking you up. I`m junction 15 M6 - so if your near, you can be my chummy!  

Chrissi can jump in with me. I am probably the nearest by about 15 miles so its a cool round 40 miles before we set off then!!!

I am also going to take 2 chairs, a ground blanket and a sun brolly (just in case  8) ) as there isn't any shade.

If everyone brings food we should have a right slap up feast!!!!

Dano rang me earlier from the show. 8 Cars on the club stand and it was teaming down with rain! :cry:

Its a shame about the rain with all peoples effort,and journey times,etc,i was going to the show then to rhyl beach in the afternoon for the little one to run riot

WELSH WATER!!!!!!!!!

Rain soaked, wet, muddy,  gooey, dull, windy, miserable weather spoiled what would have otherwise been a decent show. I suspect the rain kept many away, it was maybe 1/2 - 3/4 full. Nothing special or remarkable in the trade stands or show cars. We had a good turnout of hardy people though, who put up with the rain (or became 'as one' with the wetness). Poor old Doug was soaked through by the end of the day, he'd bravely camped the night too. The other 7 of us travelled on the day.

It was nice to catch up with all you guys, and I saw a couple of new faces too. And I picked up a set of discs & pads for ?21, not bad eh?

Anyway, here is the pic, I have more pics if anyone's interested:



If you missed it, simply hold this pic in front of your face and arrange for someone to get onto a stepladder and sprinkle a watering can over you. In a wind tunnel. That should simulate the show quite accurately.

I only took pics of the club stand, individual ones of all the cars on it, and a couple of other random ones. I didn't want to risk the camera too much, given the persistent rain. I'll post more up in the next few minutes.

Shocking weather, the car hasn't seen rain for years, was worried it might dissolve!    Safely tucked back up in the garage now!

Real shame about the weather, spoilt the show really but still nice to see lots of Mk1's from under my umbrella this morning!

Lovely car, really retro, its a swallowtail too??? And automatic? I wonder how many of the Mk1 Golfs (there were loads on the retro stand) were also in our club?
