Just to let you all know, we have arranged a club meet in Essex on Saturday May 20th at 3pm.  ALL WELCOME
The venue is :The White Hart p.h.
                     Colchester Road
                     Springfield
                     Chelmsford
                     Essex    CM2 5PG
It is located just off junction 19 of the A12: A130/A138/B1137. Head for town centre situated next to BMW dealership about 200-300 yards from A12 exit.
We need to advise the landlord of approximate numbers, so if you are interested or intend to come please post so we can let him know.

thought id let you all know, i spoke to the landlord on monday,told him to expect about ten cars and gave him a start time, etc.Il try and knock up some kind of formal headed note paper this weekend just to put the details down in writing for him.

just out of curiosity,is anyone going to the battlesbridge vw meet this sunday?

We were meant to be going, but we can't make it.
 
We're going down to Stroud to help a friend of ours with his classic car show. He unfortunately has some unexpected health probs and needs a hand.

Battlesbridge should be a good show.
The organiser, Brian runs the Essex VDubbers club and works very hard.

I used to belong to that club.  Joined at the Enfield Pageant one year and never made it to any of the other shows to join in with the stand cos of the other club commitments I have  :roll:

We were members for a while too. Joined about 3 years ago at a show called Blasts from the Past. Made it to a couple of shows, but, like you, too many committments elsewhere!!  

I joined the AA at the same time. . . . . . . . We've made much more use of them!!   :roll:  

Once I pick up my Gti I should be able to drop on by as only about 20 mins away!

right! im not gonna be able to come next sat, the agency i work for has informed me ive got to be in surrey by 2.30
im going to pop into the pub wed lunchtime just to make sure everythings still ok

I know this pub well. Its got a Wacky warehouse for the kids beside it if you decide to bring them. I'll be with my son anyway that day. With or without my new ( I hope Golf!!)

Slight prob peeps…I have to work on Saturday now…sadly working with cancer patients at a major London Hospital does sometimes have it's drawbacks  :cry:

I'm Coming! BUT not in a Mk1. I've bought a Scirocco while I wait for my loan to be processed.
Its not the best as needs clutch, or clutch cable (hoping)wheel bearing, brakes and leak from rear brake sorted. Plus exhaust and a really good overdue service. off to GSF with my discount card this morning! Wont have time to fit them though as got my son today. Will see you all there about 3 onwards?
