im in the middle of doing a 2e tall block conversion.
I got the latest issue of GOLF+ where there is a write up on the same conversion, (3a and 2e)
they talk about fitting a windage tray inside the sump to stop oil starvation on hard cornering. Has anyone done this to their car and know where to get one from? apparently you can use one from the majority of 4cylinder vw engines, ie the 1.9tdi lump?
tsr do a baffled sump/windage tray for 150notes, but im not paying that!
hoping to get one from a scrappy if somebody knows which engines have them!

I used to own a mk1 - well I've had 2 actually - YDU 720X & SMU 420Y. Currently I drive an 98 Scotia White Mitsubishi Evolution V RS…. fancy getting another mk1 someday

the VW windage tray that fits the 16V is: Windage tray with built in sump gasket. 037 115 220B, (mk3 tdi 'sumpgasket' ?22.50 from GSF)
