If any of you saw what happened last year with our stand then you'd get an idea of why a load of us were upset…Basically we chopped a beetle in half and had it opening on hydraulics like a xmas card…first place was won by a club who seriously deserved it but second and third was a complete mystery…
Thats why all the old members of Dubliminal let us youngsters do it as they were fed up of it….tbh we didnt even expect to get placed so to get second was ok.
From what I have read on a lot of forums, a lot of the traders there barely broke even and won't be going again. I also feel it was overpriced to get in and badly organised. There has been some talk also of arranging an alternative to UVD for next year.
As for it being smashed up at the end - that was the most enjoyable part of the whole project - along with me gettng to practise spraying on something that didnt matter! It was scrap anyway really - a few crucial engine bits had already been sold and the brakes so it had to be towed anyway! I tried my best to smash it up but even with massive boots on I couldnt make a dent! We also jack knifed on the roundabout near there on the way home which wasnt so funny!
I have got severely drunk since the end of the show and have replace being a sore looser with a fat hangover instead!

That's cool…it just didn't come across that way in your post! 8O
I love the sound of the bug splitting open! Never saw that as this year was my first Utterly (and may be my last, not sure yet) and as I said I thought the delorean looked really good and a clever idea!
